In a photoshoot encapsulating the dramatic beauty of the Highlands, Julie Fowlis was photographed by Royal photographer John Swannell at the privately owned Aldourie Castle, on the shores of Loch Ness. Luke Walton, Artistic Director of Rainbow Room International Glasgow, created her hair and make-up looks, while Sandra styled each outfit. CNAG were sponsors of the shoot.
In a unique creative collaboration, Sandra created an extraordinary capsule wardrobe for Award-winning Scottish Gaelic singer Julie Fowlis, for her red carpet appearances. Julie, who is the vocalist in Disney Pixar’s recent animation Brave, attended the Hollywood, European and Inverness premieres and the resulting images seen by an audience of millions.
In the gardens of Aldourie Castle, Julie wears the bespoke Brave tartan designed by DC Dalgliesh. The empire line fitted dress, with its asymmetrical hemline features a Chantal Thomass bra bodice, overlaid with French tulle and wool guipure. Matching fingerless gloves.
